Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern the use of this website and the sale of Maison Quiroz furniture. By placing an order you accept them in full. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. Legal notice (mentions légales)
Publisher: Quiroz Vaca Diego-Alonso, Entrepreneur individuel (sole trader), SIREN 933 201 709, SIRET 933 201 709 00013, intra-community VAT FR63933201709, established at 5 rue de la Sourdière, 75001 Paris, France. Publication director: Diego-Alonso Quiroz Vaca. Contact: hello@maisonquiroz.fr, +33 1 42 60 34 09. Hosting: [hosting provider legal name, full postal address and telephone number — to be completed before publication].
2. Scope
These terms apply to all orders placed with Maison Quiroz through this website by consumers. We may update them; the version in force is the one published on the day of your order.
3. Products & availability
Our pieces are largely made to order in France. Photographs and material descriptions are as accurate as we can make them, but natural materials such as wood, stone and linen vary in grain, tone and veining from piece to piece — this is a feature of handmade furniture, not a defect. Dimensions are given with a small manufacturing tolerance.
4. Prices
Prices are shown in euros (€) and include French VAT at the applicable rate. Delivery costs, where they apply, are confirmed before your order is finalised. We may change prices at any time, but the price that applies to your order is the one confirmed to you in writing.
5. Ordering
This website does not take payment online. When you submit your details through the bag, you send us a request to order. We then contact you to confirm availability, the final price, lead time and delivery, and to arrange payment. A contract of sale is formed only once we confirm your order in writing. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide.
6. Payment
Payment is arranged directly with you after confirmation, by the secure means we agree together (for example bank transfer or a secure payment link). Made-to-order pieces may require a deposit, which will always be stated before you commit.
7. Delivery
We deliver across metropolitan France, with white-glove delivery and in-home assembly for larger pieces. Lead times are indicative and confirmed with your order; as pieces are handmade, dates may shift slightly and we will always keep you informed. Risk passes to you on delivery.
8. Right of withdrawal
For in-stock items bought at a distance, you have 14 days from delivery to withdraw without giving a reason, under Article L.221-18 of the French Consumer Code. To do so, inform us of your decision before the deadline by an unambiguous statement — by email to hello@maisonquiroz.fr or by post to 5 rue de la Sourdière, 75001 Paris, France — or by using the model form below. You then return the item within 14 days. You may handle the goods only as necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and good working order, and may be held liable for any depreciation resulting from handling beyond that. Return costs are yours unless the item was faulty. In line with Article L.221-28, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised — which includes most of our made-to-order pieces; this exception is stated on each affected product page before you order.
Model withdrawal form. Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract:
— To Quiroz Vaca Diego-Alonso, 5 rue de la Sourdière, 75001 Paris, France, hello@maisonquiroz.fr: I/we hereby give notice that I/we withdraw from my/our contract of sale of the following goods: […]. Ordered on […] / received on […]. Name of consumer(s): […]. Address of consumer(s): […]. Signature (if on paper): […]. Date: […].
9. Guarantees
All products benefit from the French statutory guarantees of conformity (Articles L.217-3 et seq. of the Consumer Code) and against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. of the Civil Code), independently of any commercial guarantee. In addition, we offer a 5-year commercial guarantee on the structural frame of our furniture, subject to normal use and the care advice we provide.
10. Liability
We take great care over our pieces and our website. We are not liable for damage resulting from misuse, normal wear, or events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits your non-waivable statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Governing law & mediation
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, please contact us first so we can find a solution. As a consumer you may also refer the matter, free of charge, to our consumer mediator — [approved médiateur de la consommation: name, postal address and website — to be completed before publication] — and to the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform. Failing agreement, the competent French courts will have jurisdiction.
